Great Falls Ice Cream traces its beginnings to a small Georgetown scoop shop twenty years ago. Making each batch by hand, we introduced Washingtonians to fresh, super-premium ice cream. Soon after, we branched out to the local restaurants to find new customers. Working to find the best ingredients and perfecting our recipes, we built the company into the leading local maker of super-premium ice cream, delicious sorbet, and frozen non-fat yogurt in the Washington area.
Now based in a small kitchen in suburban Maryland, we still make our ice cream by hand, in small batches, and manually mix in cookies and candy to create our most popular flavors. More than 200 restaurants, scoop shops, and hotels serve our products, and they receive regular mention in newspaper reviews mentioning our ice cream as the crowning touch to a perfect meal. Our fleet of freezer trucks has just been upgraded, and we deliver from Baltimore, Frederick, and Annapolis to Leesburg, Fairfax, and Alexandria. We deliver to downtown Washington all week. We maintain a 24-hour order line for your convenience.
We were named one of America’s 10 best ice creams by Bon Appetit magazine and named “Best Ice Cream” by the Smithsonian Institution’s Ice Cream Seminar.
